Reza Sazgari is a board-certified, fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist with a deep, narrow practice focusing exclusively on bone, joint and spine MRI and CT scans. Imaging reports are thorough, accurate, and detailed. He collaborates closely with imaging technologists to ensure the highest quality of service. Also, he communicates regularly with referring physicians to enable understanding of imaging findings, as well as to obtain additional clinical information or follow up.

Dr. Sazgari has provided over 12 years of subspecialty reads in the Detroit Metro area and has deep relationships with primary care and subspecialty physicians. He thrives on constantly expanding his knowledge base, and on creating the best possible experience for his patients. His goal is to practice medicine as an art and science, relishing the intersection of the two, and sharing his knowledge as much as possible.

Dr. Sazgari has always enjoyed science, constantly learning how things work and why they exist in their current form by studying their history. He was born in Mashhad, Iran, and moved to the US as a child, growing up in West Bloomfield, MI.

After high school, he attended the University of Michigan, majoring in Biology, and graduating with honors. He then completed medical school training at Wayne State University in Detroit, graduating with honors, and serving as class president for all four years. This was followed by an internship at Oakwood Hospital (now Beaumont Dearborn), where he was a chief intern. Then, a diagnostic radiology residency followed at University of Colorado, where he was chief resident and was awarded resident teacher of the year his final year. Finally, he completed a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship, also at University of Colorado, again receiving a teaching award.

He moved back to Southeast Michigan with his wonderful, supportive wife, Jenny, in 2005 and has practiced radiology there since. They have two terrific sons and two beautiful dogs and live in Beverly Hills. His favorite activities are spending time with his family, practicing yoga, and biking.
